Just quickly before I head to bed, I was trying to figure out the maths behind the running portion that I am aiming for.
- Desirably, running 2.4 kms in 14:26 is my goal.
- I need to also obtain a level four on the beep test. That equals to running 10 km/hr.
- The speed at which I must run in the 2.4 kms is 11km/hr.
- Level six on the beep test, is 11 km/hr
Ideally, I would love to obtain that which would bring me to two levels above the level needed to pass my xpress test. It would give me exemption, as long as I can do my push-ups. I’m going to only worry about my running right now. I’ve also calculated tonight, the timings and the speed on the treadmill needed to meet these numbers. However, I will be doing my benchmark testing (the 1km and the 2.4 km runs) outside on a track or pathway. I won’t have the luxury of the earth moving beneath my feet when I do the actual testing and so it’ll be good practise, to not do my timed testing on a treadmill.
Time for bed! G’nite y’all!
