“Sex was in the air”… essentially, you asked to be raped.

A Winnipeg judge set a dangerous precedent in the Canadian legal system (despite asking it not become one) when sentencing rapist Kenneth Rhodes to a conditional sentence (essentially ‘time served’, leaving him free within the community) when the Crown had asked for a three-year prison sentence.

“Sex was in the air,” stated Queen’s Bench Justice Robert Dewar, adding that the victim wore ‘suggestive attire’ including  ’a tube top with no bra, high heels and plenty of makeup.’

Wow. Really? That’s asking to be raped?!
